Pinnacle has mastered the implementation of Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). The Primavera P6 tools suite is one of our most favored for Project, Program, Portfolio and Enterprise and systems. 

One of changes from ANSI 748 A to ANSI 748 B is a new emphasis on the need for Earned Value Management requirements for Flow Down to subcontractors.  While the requirement is there, no prescription regarding tools or techniques to accomplish this is outlined.

ERP and General Ledger systems like Oracle Financials play an important role in EVM Systems.  Pinnacle has implemented EVM Systems that are integrated with Oracle Financials to provide essential information for EVMS cost and performance analysis.

A new Bill in Congress will radically alter the Earned Value Management landscape.

The Scheduling Engine in an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) holds and is used to maintain the baseline and current schedule for the project.  The project schedule is often used as the basis for estimating and forecasting the resources required for the project. 

Primavera has been in business since 1983. Their business model was to build project management software and sell it through a network of distributors.  They now sell directly to major accounts, IT accounts and Government Agencies.

Primavera P6 can be implemented as a single-project scheduling tool or a complete Enterprise Project Management application serving hundreds or thousands of projects and users. Pinnacle’s largest implementation supported 7,000 users on 4 continents.
