One of changes from ANSI 748 A to ANSI 748 B is a new emphasis on the need for Earned Value Management requirements for Flow Down to subcontractors.  While the requirement is there, no prescription regarding tools or techniques to accomplish this is outlined.

Microsoft Office Project Server is a high end EPM tool that enables organizations to manage and direct projects and resources across the enterprise. It supports project teams in collaborating and in managing their project documentation and deliverables.

A new Bill in Congress will radically alter the Earned Value Management landscape.

The role of a Project Management Office (PMO) differs greatly across industries and companies; there is no standard PMO model for ensuring success.  The most effective PMO structure closely supports a company’s corporate culture, its’ business needs and current Project Management capabilities.  This means that a Project Management Office must evolve along with its’ customers need and capabilities.

As commercial construction opportunities decline, more companies are turning to Federal contracts.  

We have helped dozens of organizations evaluate project management software and implement it for various purposes.  Additionally, we are often called in to fix an unsuccessful implementation and get to observe what worked and what didn’t.

Virtually no one in the Project Management space addresses the real challenge in implementing Enterprise Project Management systems… Adoption.  There are some practitioners who talk about cultural change, but they tend to have a narrow focus on getting executive sponsorship.  This sponsorship is essential but in no way guarantees success.
