Oracle Primavera P6 V8 has proven itself as an excellent enterprise tool. By continuing to add capabilities for all Enterprise Stakeholders and by integrating with Oracle ERP and other Oracle Enterprise tools, Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) and Oracle Business Process Management (BPM) for example; Primavera P6 is supporting process excellence across large international organizations involved in Product Lifecycle Management.
Pinnacle recently supported the Energy division of a Fortune 50 company by leading efforts to re-engineer and standardize Lean processes across several Value Streams that are part of their Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Project Management approach.
Pinnacle led workshops to re-design processes and help evaluate whether they could be implemented in Primavera P6 Version 8. These process areas included:
- Scheduling
- Resource Management
- Contract Management
- Risk and Opportunity Management

- Oracle Primavera P6 R8
- Enovia PLM
- Oracle ERP
As with many major Enterprise Project Management and Product Lifecycle Management implementations, there are a number of legacy systems in place at our client. Determining which new or existing tools were best for supporting a specific process was a major component of this effort. The ability to integrate Primavera P6 with other Enterprise tools was essential for this project.
