Earned Value Management and Enterprise Management Process Asset Libraries; Another EVM Innovation from Pinnacle

Pinnacle has created a number of EVM and EPM Process Asset Libraries (PAL) for its clients. Process Asset Libraries are new to the Earned Value and Enterprise Project Management world.

Our PALs are web based repositories housing processes and work aids that support specific roles in producing their EVM deliverables.  We combine EVM processes and EVM tools to guide the users in their day to day work. This eliminates the need for each user to determine how a process is executed and how the EVM tools used.

Pinnacle weaves together roles & responsibilities, policies, processes & procedures,  and software tools to give the users a clear and easy to follow guide to producing consistent deliverables.  The Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) has cited a number of companies for inconsistent practices within and across programs.  DCMA has recognized an implementation of our PAL (called "EZ-EV") as a major contributor to helping Bell Helicopter become re-certified.

The content and tools for the Process Asset Libraries is developed using your organization’s processes, roles, deliverables and tools.  This knowledge base that we develop for clients, in conjunction with training and coaching, ensures support for your EVM staff at the moment they need it.

We developed the PAL to eliminate the typical 3 ring binder process descriptions that sit on a shelf and gather dust.  Hard copy based processes that ignore EV tools do not fit with today’s expectations of Web based, Google searches and at your finger tip information oriented mindset.  When EV users need information they want it now and they want it in context for their role and the task at hand.
