EVM World 2019 Recap

Written by Michael Breuker | Tuesday, May 28, 2019

This year's EVM World event was held on May 22nd - 24th, 2019 at The Westin Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Workshop sessions this year reinforced the EVM World theme of "Maximizing Program & Performance Management Through Collaboration".

Attendance has been moderate over the last few years, but the quality of the presentations keeps getting better. I was thoroughly impressed with the program this year. Everything from the keynote presentation (the same presentation given at the NDIA IPMR Spring Meeting on new DOD acquisition paths), to presentations on Agile and a lot of brand new topics were outstanding.

Practice symposia sessions included topics from the following areas:

  • Integrated Program Management (IPM) System Development and Maintenance
  • Contracts, Contracting & Project Start-Up
  • Performance Measurement
  • Project Scheduling
  • System Validation, IBRs and Surveillance Reviews
  • Analysis, Forecasting and Reporting
  • Agile Integration
  • New Generation PM
  • Others

Check out this link for full details on the symposia.

The presentations have been published for paid attendees of the event through the CPM mobile app.

The next CPM-sponsored conference will be the Integrated Program Management Workshop, December 10th – 12th, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor. Will we see you there?
