[Oracle Primavera P6 V8](https://www.pinnaclemanagement.com/service-planning-your-upgrade-primavera-p6-v8/356) has proven itself as an excellent enterprise tool. By continuing to [add capabilities](https://www.pinnaclemanagement.com/oracle-primavera-p6-v8-feature-list/355) for all Enterprise Stakeholders and by integrating with Oracle ERP and other Oracle Enterprise tools, Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) and Oracle Business Process Management (BPM) for example; Primavera P6 is supporting process excellence across large international organizations involved in Product Lifecycle Management.

Pinnacle recently supported the [Energy](https://www.pinnaclemanagement.com/industries/energy-utilities-oil-gas) division of a Fortune 50 company by leading efforts to re-engineer and standardize Lean processes across several Value Streams that are part of their Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Project Management approach.

Pinnacle led workshops to re-design processes and help evaluate whether they could be implemented in [Primavera](https://www.pinnaclemanagement.com/blog/oracle-primavera-p6) P6 Version 8. These process areas included: 

- Scheduling
- Resource Management
- Contract Management
- Risk and Opportunity Management

The full set of Commercial off the Shelf Products used across this effort included:

- Oracle Primavera P6 R8
- Enovia PLM
- Oracle ERP

As with many major [Enterprise Project Management](https://www.pinnaclemanagement.com/management-solutions/enterprise-project-management) and Product Lifecycle Management implementations, there are a number of legacy systems in place at our client. Determining which new or existing tools were best for supporting a specific process was a major component of this effort. The ability to integrate Primavera P6 with other Enterprise tools was essential for this project.
