EVM Systems are now being seen in Hosted or Mixed environments. Pinnacle has recently implemented an EVM solution with Microsoft Project on a client site and Deltek Cobra and Deltek wInsight hosted with a Secure Cloud Hosting partner. Our client also uses a hosted accounting system, Deltek GCS Premier.
We expect to see more hosted EVM Systems using Deltek Cobra and Microsoft Project / Project Server in smaller to mid-size organizations. One specific example of where we expect to see hosted EVM Systems used are in Biotech organizations who have won their first BARDA, NIH or DTRA contract.
Often these are very small organizations that need an entire suite (PM, EVM, Accounting) of products, or they are spin-offs from larger companies that need a separate stand-alone EVM system for a single program.
