Deltek Announces Version 5.0 of Cobra
At the recent Insight conference Deltek announced a major upgrade to the Cobra cost engine for Earned Value Management. This has been a major development and is the first of Deltek’s EPM products to transition to Deltek’s new architecture utilizing Microsoft’s Smart Client technology.A few of the highlights:
- Complete overhaul of the user interface. It looks as though this will shorten the learning curve for Cobra.
- All reports configurable and available in Excel
- 3-tier architecture with major processes running on an application server
- Integration with Microsoft Project 2007
Deltek expects this version to be available before the end of June.
